as a celtics fan, and an overall sports fan, I talk about sports - A LOT. i'm a passionate player and fan. I eavesdrop on conversations about sports that guys are having. Which is how I was directed to this site.
I was out for drinks with a friend, and some of his friends, and the recent trades to miami were being discussed - then talks about the 10/11 lineups for other teams were discussed, and when boston came up, and I chirped in with a paul pierce gush slash comment, the boys eyes lit up. A girl? Who knows sports? Bizarre.
One of the friends told me I should check out boston barstool sports. i was warned that not all content was appropriate for ladies (*ahem). Little did he know, I love the inappropriate.
The most I can say for this website and guy's writing, is that he's hilarious. An excerpt:
"I’ve probably said this 1,000 times before, but I might as well say it again for any Stoolies about to get married. There is only one acceptable look when getting married and that’s a tuxedo with a black cummerbund and black bow tie. That’s it. Anything else is a joke. That’s not me talking. That’s science. That’s experience. That’s history. I mean god love Pierce, but he looks like a fucking valet or waiter here. I mean would Sinatra wear this? Not in a million fucking years."
Not only do I agree with him - men. no white tuxes - but I like his writing, as it seems to come across similar to mine.
The only thing I would change? "by the common man, for the common man"
What about us uncommon women??
