piss off - you think YOU'RE cheap?

whenever i read articles about cheap outfits, and compare 'cheap with chic', i get unnecessarily angry.
please. $78 for a blazer? $60 for a beret? not likely. i think, someone needs to put my in one of these features... because let me tell you - i'll blow their socks off. $4 dresses, $6 flats, $15 pants... all in my wardrobe.

this year, i'm planning to clear out, and clean up. clarify everything - mind, life, belongings, etc.
 
this space is inspiring me. clean lines. white walls. beige and vintage. totally. my. thing. 
i am drenching inspiration from as many spaces as possible.

my weekend in summary

another weekend.... another crazy crazy fun filled few days.
friday: i woke up, and hung out for a bit, while waiting to meet up with some friends for dinner. met jake and kim, and nate and bri for all you can eat sushi. grabbed a beer with jake and kim once nate and bri had to jet, and then drove back to toronto to meet up with some high school friends. i stopped by a friend from work's place, where we chatted, and i somehow convinced him to come with me in case i didn't know anyone. we headed to clinton's for my friend drew's engagement party, and danced up a storm to 90's dance music. then, 3 more friends from high school showed up - much to our surprise - and we danced the night away... until the bar closed. tons of fun. drove dave home, and then went home to sleep.
just a drink, in my leather chair, with my cane; dancing gangsta style to oldies 90's music with high school friends; my failed attempt at foccacia; my little gabster - just a visit with auntie jamie, hanging on my legs
saturday: woke up sort of late, and tried to get my life organized. a friend came to visit, and we watched 'you're welcome america', and 'slapshot' and ate fresh. amazing.
mommy and baby at the shower; the cupcake tower - cupcakes from a family friend; mommy, gabster and i at the shower; one of the cupcakes... decorated to perfection; i seem to be the only one who can calm the gabster down. sleeping like a log.
 sunday: had to get up to get back home early for the baby's shower... woke up, fought back pain, so was late, and yet got there in time to help with a bit of decorating and set up before the party started. tons of cupcakes, food, baby holding, and presents later, we were all exhausted. my little cupcake had a nap in my arms (as i seem to be one of the only people who can calm her down), and after a quick visit to my parents, i drove back to toronto to have dinner with my landlords. i. have. the. best. landlords.
