... i arrived home Thursday evening - just in time for a Friday of work (which some people very intelligently took off), and then the weekend.
Friday: I got off work late and then met up with my friend cole to go to a girl talk pre-party. we hung out with some of the lovely staff of the condom shack. so. wonderful. definitely didn't feel cool enough to be hanging out with them... what with my lack of tattoos and all. at about 11, we took cabs down to the show, and rocked out (oops - forgot my wallet!) to the sounds of girl talk. it was so good. he put on an amazing show. amazing. we finally headed home around 2:30, and due to 'circumstances' i didn't get to bed until 4:30. yes. another late night. ugh.
saturday: woke up quite late on saturday, and spent the day organizing. went for a run. walked to the mall nearby to get things for my apt. i am on a mission to make it feel like home. and like home it will feel - soon. had a party to get to for around 7pm, so took off... and though it was in the East end, i was not going to judge.
let's just say it took 2 hours to get there. 2. i hate the east end. the party was fun, and ended up having a good time... though another late night.
sunday: woke up late (again), organized some schenanigans (again), and then took off to my parents to celebrate father's day. it was fantastic. my three sisters and i, and my parents. steak (veggie chicken for me), 7 layer mexican salad, and the hot hot sun on my parents deck. i love hanging with them.
i did get some insight into why i am the way i am as well...
dad: "tell them the one about me, and the eggs!"
mom: "we were driving, and your dad says, 'what are range eggs... and why are they giving them away free?"
badum ching!
dad: laughs at himself.
sister: "really? you're telling us that because you think you're hilarious?!"
andddddddd it starts to make sense.
did some laundry (some things will never ever change), and headed back home to toronto late. didn't get to sleep until 12:30 - which is probably why i set my alarm for 6:40pm. idiot.
now i have leftovers in my fridge, clean clothes hanging to dry, and a smile on my face i can't get rid of
