This weekend was crazy. Fantastic, but crazy.
Thursday night: I spent with Erin at her craft sale - we had a blast. If you ever have the oppourtunity to visit a "speakeasy" at the gladstone, please do! Lots of fun - if only just to spend time together. We intended on going out afterwards to celebrate, but by the end of the night, we were all so exhausted that we crammed everything into Alex's car, and were dropped off at home. I fell asleep so quickly, I may have still had my clothes on.
Friday: I woke up for Mai-Liis and Jaan to come pick up some shelves that they were so kindly taking off of my hands for their new apt. two trips, and lots of jaan lifting later, my apt. is clear of one more thing (well - two more things). My best intentions were to go for a run, clean, pack, shower… but as we know, our best intentions sometimes run dry.
Needless to say, without doing any of those things (ok, I packed a bit), I was still late for meeting my friend for lunch. My bad.
We walked around a bit to find somewhere to eat, but our cravings got the best of us, and we ended up at one of my favourite places - el trompo in kensington. Since it was an amazing day, we ate out on the patio, gorging on Mushroom tacos, something with pork (clearly not mine), beer and margaritas, and some pico de gallo. Amazing. Never disappoints. The day necessitated popsicles, and a walk in the park as well. 'check'!
I had to head home to pack up my car - and met up with daniel and denver, my two new roomies (come june!). We went to look at an apt. (fail), but were able to guage what we wanted, what sort of feminine products I had to leave in my car, etc. good show. It's going to be a blast hanging out with these two wonderful guys on a regular basis. I'm a lucky person!!
I would have stayed, but I had to move my car load of stuff back to waterdown, and spent the night with one of my oldest friends. Lovely to hang - as per usual. Oh waterdown - the memories you've given me.
Saturday: I woke up and spent the day at work with missy - it's easy to pass a day at work when you get to spend time with people you enjoy! The day was busy, as the store is closing on April 17th (crazy!!) and the time went quickly.
My friend and I met up after work to grab a beer and watch the final four basketball games. Two games, more beer, lots of conversation (and facebook photos via blackberry), and two pieces of pizza later, I wasn't getting home until 3:30am. Life is good.
Sunday: spent the day moving, enjoying the sun, and eating wonderful food with the shea fam (minus my middle sister k - we missed you!). Did free laundry, and got home late. Again.
Another week to enjoy life.
