My olympic bragging.

My big crush on charles hamelin of Quebec was emphasized on Sunday when I saw the interview with him. He's just such a sweet person, and it's hard to not see a shy, modest, gracious, and yet confident person through his french accent. Love love love him.
Plus - anyone who brings home two gold medals (and gets to stand on the podium with his charming younger brother) is a hero.
With one of the sweetest displays of true passion and excitement for another human being, this video has been played millions of times… and I could honestly watch it a million more. I'm not a sap - in fact I steer clear of any affection - but this pulls on whatever heart I have left.

It truly was a country affair Sunday night - every single person with any ounce of canadian pride turned their (or other's - in my case) tvs on, and watched with pounding hearts as the american's took us to the brink of heart attack. Despite a twisted knee, I was up standing and jumping for the last 25 minutes of the game. (and I was regretting it yesterday… and today). What I wouldn't give to have been in olympic village last night. And not JUST because I would have loved to see how certain speed skater's celebrate :)
Enjoy charles and his brother francois. Oh to be a young single girl in Montreal.

**EDIT**

since i'm not particularily loyal, François Hamelin has been another object of my affection. i seem to have a thing for younger men... and those eyes!
