designer spotlight

20 best twenty - curated by the LOVELY meg – created a designer spotlight last week on twitter and tumblr. every hour on the hour, they featured a new designer. An amazing way to showcase tons of designers at once… fingers crossed one day you’ll see re:claim, or thackeray’s vanity right up there.
Some of my favourites:
1. Missibaba
Missibaba is an accessory design label Chloe Townsend. Based in South Africa. tons of great bags in their shop, handmade in South Africa, utilizing the materials, and resources surrounding them.

workhorse bag
loving cha ching bag in pale tan leather with "turtle" pattern stitching and workhorse bag in dark skies striped canvas with leather trim.
2. pi'lo
love these goods from designers pi’lo in Toronto - everything handmade in Toronto by heather shaw, and her team. Love the simplicity, and cleanliness of her stuff. tons of goodies on her etsy.
alphabet pillow
lined paper pillow

love her alphabet pillow, lined paper pillow and friendship canvas.
20 best twenty showcased some really incredible stuff.... check out some of the other designers here.

i love my vintage bright, cheap and in abundance

i simply adore anything vintage (without it being cluttered), and when i search for vintage beads, and jewelry on etsy, i always somehow stumble upon vintage stores with things i can't afford, or have no room for.

Then I found kim’s shop, trampoline. Her photography of products is incredible (which is so challenging with vintage goods), her item choices are impeccable, and they are all (mostly) items that you can integrate into your everyday life – without fear of clutter, or going broke (my 2 biggest concerns).
Some of my favourites.
Vintage Industrial Oscillating Fan $125
vintage ink lovers display $55
large vintage amber apothecary bottle $19
check out her amazing stuff - and let me know if you buy anything, so i can live vicariously through you all!
