there's something about quiet that gives way for the noise - space that allows for the thoughts to come rushing in. elbowing each other for front of the line access.
and sometimes that space - that many of us pay good money for - becomes quite claustrophobic. too full.
it is when we can welcome our thoughts, and noise, and use patience in sorting through each of their concerns, that we begin to see the value in hearing. and why filling our space and time with people, and technology, and things (*shiny things!) doesn't allow space to sort through the real stuff. the stuff that causes discomfort. the stuff that feels gross in our gut and creates a physical experience. the stuff that will eat small parts of us until they are addressed.
find the quiet. deal with the noise. stop filling the gaps with superficial fixes.
and then, love yourself for being patient and loving with your soul.
