my weekend in summary

this weekend was filled with lots of sleep, and lots of relaxing. it was MUCH needed... according to my bodies need for sleep. not a lot of photos either... whether it was because i was really enjoying my company, or because i was too exhausted, i'm not sure. either way, the important ones were taken... with les baby.
the boys playing with the babe - never did i ever think i'd see the day; just some saturday afternoon hanging out; the group. and nate distracted by the babe.
friday: was not feeling well all day (i've been battling kidney stones and a kidney infection, and friday it was really beating me up) so when i got home - after a quick catch up with erin (my landlord) following their mexico vacation - i napped before dinner. then, my friend met me at home, and we ventured out for his first taste of pizzeria libretto. put our names on the wait list, and headed over the lakeview for appetizers and beer (as we were desperately hungry). we then made our way back to the bar at libretto, and had a bottle of wine, and my favourite pizza - prosciutto - and sausage. amazing. as always. then, went home, and passed out by midnight. exhausted.
saturday: woke up around 9:30, and prepared to head out for the day - packed, and then met up with nate and bri, to hop on the road to waterloo. we stopped to grab some veggies, and then arrived at matt and cait's (where josh and hadi already were). the afternoon consisted of lots of chatting, a huge great picnic lunch (with fresh baked bread and sandwiches with chips. and hot sauce - lots of hot sauce), baby time, nap time (for the baby - not us... unfortunately), sports video games, and more chatting. it's weird to go from seeing friends every day in school, to rarely ever... and i love getting to see these friends of mine from university. we headed out at about 8, and my parents picked me up along the way, so i could spend the night at their place. after watching the basketball games with my dad (and witnessing a devastating loss for ohio state), i crashed early at about 11:30.
sunday: slept until noon. yes. over 12 hours of sleep. apparently the kidney issues i'm going through are wrecking havoc on my body. so a parent's house is exactly what i needed. had breakfast with the fam, and sat around talking about my middle sister's plans for a birthday pig roast. then, after some tv, and some work on my current side projects, i dropped my sister off to pick up the car from her night out, and met up with my high school friend jamie for a quick catch up - on dating, life, life, dating, and everything in between. we're both sort of at similar places in life - dating, in the early stages of our careers, starting to get that itch to move on and out - and our conversations tend to wrap around themselves, intertwining. it's nice to have friends at the same stage of life. i then headed out, to get home, and pack up, in time for my friend to pick me up and drive back to toronto. after a long convo with my parents, we headed out, and stopped in mississauga to check out the trail that his friend has been working on. it was my first time in a wooded space for a long time, and it invigorated me - set off a dangerous need to get out, camping, hiking, and creating in a way reflective of nature. we then stopped for some food, before he dropped me off at home. as soon as i got home, i unpacked, and got right into bed. exhausted. again.
hope everyone had a great weekend - despite the yucky weather (on sunday specifically)... short week coming up, and so close to some more time off!
