came across
Saturdays a couple of years ago in a magazine (perhaps
GQ - seems most likely), and fell in love. attempted to get my bf at the time to dress in everything from the store, and wear leather corded bracelets. then. we broke up. i had no man to dress.
then, recently on
the selby website, i saw the interview at the
home of colin tunstall, from Saturdays Surf NYC. the photos inspired me (apparently i live the same way as a man who owns a surf shop in NYC), and reminded me of what i had been missing. and ps - WHOA giant crush on colin. hellllllooooooo.

in 2009, the Saturdays store opened in Soho, for the niche market of those who look to appease a lifestyle occupied with surfing, living and working in New York City. So, they began selling boards and wetsuits while sourcing and selling books, fine art and other lifestyle accessories - which has evolved into them now creating, designing and producing their own line of menswear. which is beautiful, btw. focused on high-quality craftsmanship, authenticity and traditional style.
and if that wasn’t enough.... they have an espresso bar, with their own blend of coffee, baristas (probably attractive surfer types). they have a full yard that they use as a hang out, and often a small ‘gathering’ area (please feel free to interpret that as ‘party’). the store and yard now serve the purpose of a hang out for some of New York’s most influential artists, surfers and thinkers, all of whom have helped redefine what it means to live, work and surf in New York City.
enjoy. take in. shop. love these dudes.
and theirblog? ohhhh their blog. just for the photos alone.
just. please. check them out.
