This weekend was filled with spending time with friends, but also seeing friends who I hadn’t seen in a while… which was great!
Friday: I finished work, packed my car, and headed home to my parents… it was my friend’s husband’s bday, and they had planned a night out at Joe Dog’s in Burlington to celebrate. Since her sister – chantel – just had the little baby, it was her and her husband ryan’s first night out since the monkey was born. We had a great time – had some appitizers at first, and then went downstairs to dance. We danced all night (cane included), and I got dropped off via cab (by chantel and ryan on their way home), and had a fantastic sleep in my bed at my parent’s place.

Saturday: woke up late at my parents, and spent the morning uploading music on my new computer (yay!), and watching the masters. In the afternoon, I headed out to chantel and ryan’s to hang out for a bit, look at pictures, and see the baby. We watched some more golf, and ate crappy food. Like wendy’s and pizza. I headed out afterwards back to Toronto, as I was meeting up with some long lost friends for a dual birthday party. I collected my birthday goodies (ring pops, suckers, ‘birthday boy’ flashing buttons, and crowns) and went to a friend’s apt. tons of people I didn’t know, so it was nice to get to meet some new people, dance, hang out, and have fun. We ended up going to a bar in Toronto, and bumping into some other friends randomly. We all danced a ton – and THAT is a sign of a good night out.

Sunday: woke up fairly early to a huge thunderstorm, with plans to meet jake, matty, dave and dave’s brother for brunch. The rain eventually stopped, and through a series of coordinating cars (as I had left mine in overnight parking at the party), we got ourselves organized and went to sneaky dees for Mexican brunch. Amazing. As usual. Opped me off as they all went their respective ways, and I went home to relax a bit after a hectic weekend. I spent the rest of the day cleaning, dishes, cleaning out my broken freezer, and all those things I had been putting off for some time. It was a productive Sunday.
