ohhhhhhhh what a week. tuesday night i contracted food poisoning - yes. food poisoning. a vegan with food poisoning.
friday: i slept until i could, and then when my friend laura messaged me about her boyfriend (my friend) ryan's band unbuttoned. they were playing at harlem, and since i had to pick a friend up at union station later that night, i figured i would drop by. so nice to stop in, see ryan and laura, listen to what ryan has been up to in the past little while, and get to catch up with laura. once they were done their set, laura dared me, and once i made a fool of myself, i went to pick leigh up from the train. she had come down to surprise our friend karli for her birthday on the saturday night. and leigh came bearing gifts! because she knows how much i love zombies... she brought me a coffin shaped ice cube tray that made ice cubes shaped like fangs. so. good. we stayed up all night talking, and went to bed REALLY late.

saturday: leigh and i woke up late, talked even more, had some bland food (since i'm still battling nausea), and both got ready, and then headed to waterloo. we arrived just in time to barely help set up, and surprise karli since leigh came all the way from ottawa, and i had been sick all week. we had a great time celebrating with our usual bambino, and st. paddy's day themed decorations. there was also board games, and rock band with a smoke machine. right before bed, we got daring and put on 'zombieland'. needless to say, we all fell asleep before the end of the movie.
sunday: woke up late, had a quick chat with karli and her fiance sean, and had to jet, so they could go visit their new puppy!! leigh and i drove back to toronto, and once we got back to my place, we talked - again. including a call to telehealth ontario to make sure i wasn't legitimately dying. leigh had to be to her train for 6:30, so i drove her out, and came home to have soup. i spent the rest of the night watching friends, having skype chats with my friend tyler from vancouver, and cleaning. ish. and trying not to puke.
ok. this week - alllll about not throwing up. i feel really good about this!
