my (homecoming) weekend in summary

This weekend truly was a homecoming weekend.
This weekend was laurier's homecoming weekend, involving a football game, beer, dancing and live bands.
Friday: I spent the afternoon in client meetings, and then headed to waterloo with plans to hang out with the girls who I donned with at laurier. Arrived in time to chat with Karli for a while, and then Karli, Alex and I went shopping for some clothing for the game the next day. Elise and Leigh arrived, and the plan was to eat, drink and go out dancing. We did just that - 5 women getting ready for the bar in 1 apt is an interesting social experiment. Lovely Sean, Karli's partner, drove us to the bar, where we danced until about 1. We then decided to try our luck getting into the old on campus bar… which we managed. We danced to good oldies, and bumped into some old friends.
friday night ladies night; pirates and popcorn; greasy noodle hut chinese
Saturday: woke up late, and had some breakfast. I then went out to see if I could find another point and shoot camera, since mine took a tumble the evening before. When I arrived back, leigh and elise had gone to find football tickets, and karli and sean were cleaning up after our whirlwind visit. I headed out to meet up with alicia and sandra, two other friends, at our hotel. We rushed to the football game, and somehow bypassed a huge line - the perks of being alumni I suppose. We drank beer, caught up with friends, and watched Laurier kick Guelph's ass. We then walked around for a bit, and met up with some friends at a pub. Drank some beer, ate some good food, and then went to the hotel where everyone drank a bit, got ready, and tried to stay awake. At about 10 we went to the bar - first the on campus pub, and then after some rowdy dancing to oldies, we managed to find our way up the back staircase to the dance bar. Both entrances with no line, and no cover. Love love love laurier. We danced danced danced, drank, and saw tons of friends. It was a late late night, to say the very least.
ride to the bar (we're safe); saturday night outfit - apparently; at the floor who i donned
synchronized beer pour; score of shame for guelph; tumble at the bar
Sunday: woke up a bit earlier than anticipated, and after finding my way back to the hotel (as I crashed with a friend who was closer to the school), fell back asleep again. Woke up, ventured to find a phone charger, and then headed out for greasy breakfast… we all needed it. Took our time, ate, laughed, recollected the evening before. It was nice to be in that atmosphere again. The other ladies headed back home, and I went to meet up with my former roommate and her husband - who I happened to be friends before her and I became close. It was a nice catch up before leaving waterloo to go to my parents. My parents were just arriving home from a 15 day europe trip, so I managed a quick visit with them before driving back to toronto.
Whirlwind. And exhausted.
