everyone and their dog (who read's this blog/has let me sleep on their couch) know's i'm moving. they also know that not only have i been packing my life into various compartments/categories, but that i am ready to move. now.
this big move (paired with major life events) has brought me to a lot of realizations - one of which was the realization that i have owned far too many things in my life. this has led to me major purges, as well as habit changes. it's refreshing - scary, but refreshing.
now, since i'm moving into a much much smaller space, this purging has come in handy. and i'm realizing that the stars align as they should.
then... after a devestating fire this weekend on Queen West (which my streetcar drove through... what???), this article has been printed... with a wonderful piece of insight, that i feel comes at the most appropriate time. when our society is so obsessed with things - and not experiences or relationships.
Kate More said.... “Like anything bad that happens in life, something good will come from this; I just don’t know what it is yet.” Holding [her dog] Rocco in her arms, More looked up at her blackened apartment.
“It’s just stuff.”
it's all just stuff.
