with my idol, president diane von furstenburg, at the helm, there is a sense of inclusion - as she has opened the fashion world in a wonderful way to new designers who are making their mark.
i just read an article in home and garden regarding our paradigm shift into styling being more like an art collection - we're shifting our minds towards originality, and a sort of museum type style. and while that applied specifically to homes, i can truly see this shift being countered in the fashion world. people like lady gaga, mk & a, DVF, the twins d squared, are moving fashion aside, and imitating art - in wearable ways. who else can take a vintage stack of bangles, a men's xl sweater, exclusive baggage from LV, and make it into every fashion magazine known to northern america? mk, that's who.
