Greig's family embodies talent.
Greig is an extremely talented musician who writes wonderful poetry, and music. He has a knack for tunes that stick in your ear, and things that are easy to listen to, but complex and technical. He's got skills for production and mastering that he'll be able to develop once someone takes a chance on him.
His sister sings, and when they sing together, they match. They just work.
But this is not to gospel about them.
This is about Greig's brother Derek - or DJ Dezza.
Derek of course leads the Silvester intuition in musicality - because he's the oldest. His inate sense of beat, synchronicity, and time allows him to create art that even a techno hater would love. I can confidently say that because… I love it!
While Derek is an exTREMEly talented person, his efforts have been often muddled by his unappreciative dj-ing (ex) boss, and the inability to get the exposure required - and deserved - to be huge.
That changed when DJ Tiesto played a beat that Derek had put together from a song that we all know and love… "I believe" by blessid union of souls.
DJ Tiesto played Dereks version to a crowd in Belgium, and from the looks of things, it was very well received.
Check it - this guy is good. All my respect goes to his tenacity and perserverance. And hopefully we'll hear him consistantly sooner than later. Props derek.
