shipping for the holidays

friends! today is the last day to purchase items from the store, and have them arrive in time for Christmas - from both the US and Canada.

a weekend of much ado about nothing

can you believe, that it's the month of holiday craziness, and i only have ONE holiday party to attend? it's sheer wonderful luck.
this weekend i'm starting with a bang - a holiday party tonight.... and then, it's all downhill. in a good way. lots of making for Christmas orders, lots of lounging, and wrapping presents, and then travelling back to toronto for pick up, deliveries, and more hanging out.

i'm spending a lot of time purging my apartment, and weeding through things - like books, movies, and other things that can be sold/donated/purged. and it's a great feeling, especially around the holidays when i normally feel like i amass so many things. so this weekend is dedicated to getting things OUT of my apartment.... and not letting anything, other than that of value, into it.

all i want for Christmas... books

the cornerstone of any shea family Christmas... books. it's our thing - always books. i told my mom the other day, when she had picked up a 1500 page book for her reading group the other day, that perhaps an e-reader may be in order.... you know. back problems and all. and she refused.
we're just a book loving family. 
so yea - i'd LOVE an iPad for travelling..... i could avoid bringing 5 books everywhere i go. but still. i'll never stop buying, owning, loving books. they're perfect.
and the classics will never be old to me.
