you could be a part-time model.

my friend - bless her heart - as her way of making me feel good about myself, played this song. and then reminded me of her intent the next day by messaging me.
a real feel-good song i think.
Part-Time Model
J: Looking 'round the room | I can tell that you | Are the most beautiful girl | In the room. | B: In the whole wide room | J: And when you're on the street | Depending on the street | I bet that you are definitely | In the top three | Good looking girls on the street | B: Depending on the street | J: And when I saw you at my mate's place | I thought, 'What is she doing | At my mate's place' | How did Dave get | A hottie like that | To a party like this' | Good work, Dave.' | B: Ooh, you're a legend, Dave. | J: I ask Dave if he's gonna make a move on you | He's not sure | I say, 'Dave, do you mind if I do'' | He says he doesn't mind | But I can tell he kinda minds | But I'm gonna do it anyway | I see you standing all alone by the stereo | I dim the lights down very low | Here we go | Both: You're so beautiful | You could be a waitress | You're so beautiful | You could be an air hostess in the '60's | You're so beautiful | You could be a part-time model | J: And then I seal the deal | I do my moves | I do my dance moves | Both: It's 12:02 | Just me and you | And seven other dudes | Around you on the dance floor | I draw you near | Let's get out of here | Let's get in a cab | I'll buy you a kebab | I can't believe | That I'm sharing a kebab | With the most beautiful girl | I have ever seen with a kebab | Ooooh | Why don't we leave' | Let's go to my house | And we can feel each other up on the couch | Oh no, I don't mind taking it slow | No-o-o-o | 'Cause you're so beautiful | J: Like a tree | Or a high-class prostitute | Both: You're so beautiful | You could be a part-time model | J: But you'd probably still have to keep your normal job | Both: A part-time model | J: Spending part of your time modeling | And part of your time next to me | My place is usually tidier than this

my weekend in summary

this weekend was such a whirlwind... would you believe i didn't even take photos?
i guess then, i should include some photos that i took on thursday - from the joe opening. i just have so much going on right now (working until 10, 11pm at night, internships, trying to fit time in with friends, etc.) that it's becoming hard to get the important things in.... things like sleeping.
clothes, clothes, and more clothes. i love gold. i also love horror movies. so i have a photo to remind myself of the horror movie schedule at the revue cinema.
Friday: worked late (shocker), then headed home, and went out for dinner. then went for drinks with a few new friends (at least based on the amount that they drank). pretty low key, and non-descript.
saturday: woke up late, and spent the day sleeping. literally. what is wrong with me?? i then messaged my landlords at about 8pm when i finally got out of bed to see what they were up to. ended up walking up the stairs, and spending the evening sharing good cheese (that i could eat) with Erin (the female half), and drinking great wine. and talking - lots of talking.
sunday: woke up, laid in bed, read. enjoyed not having to be anywhere. then met a friend for coffee on ossington, and headed to another friend's for sunday funday (note: this, to me, means football. maybe not to all). watched the patriots win (though they didn't cover the spread, so i was left losing bets still. to friends only... nevertheless), and then headed home. spent the night cleaning, organizing, and trying to get my life together (as usually unsuccessful as it is).
hope everyone got out, enjoy the weekend, and their time away from work!

guess what i boughttttt.....

i allowed myself to visit my boyfriend joe, at their new location at queen and portland, for their grand opening. allowing myself also means setting a budget. which i did. at $100 (you have no idea how hard this was). after an hour of scavanging, and dissapointing myself by putting more than half of what i picked out away... i managed to get out with $60 worth of things (including my 20% discount!), and a lot of gold.
clockwise from top left: turtleneck, my pair of gold skinnies that i was pining after, gold belt (nowhere to be found on the website - though it was $6), and gold nail polish, .
and for those of you who are doubting the beauty of a gold skinny jean..... incred.
thank you, yet again, boyfriend joe.
